Currently, we are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Regenerate Team supporting the Family Care Sector in New Milford, CT. Position Summary: Electrical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety and performance expectations. The Electrical Engineer for this role will provide leadership and creativity in exploration, design, development, optimization and implementation of major processes and systems in Tissue Converting and Tissue Manufacturing. Candidates must have expertise across multiple technologies in both staff and plant environments and will have a demonstrated ability to effectively provide work direction to a broad range of team members. The incumbent reports to an Engineering Team Leader and receives direction in the form of broad assignment objectives. Key customers include: Staff, Portfolio Leaders, Mill Leadership, and Mill Asset Teams. Responsibilities: Lead product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $5 million from conception through commercialization. 2) Provide functional guidance in the design, development, and optimization of Family Care converting and manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objective 3) Develop knowledge and skills in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management. 4) Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel. 5) Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives. 6) Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause. Qualifications: 1) Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology degree from an accredited college or university and 5 years experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments. Candidates with an Associate, Bachelor, or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possessing applicable experience may also be considered. 2) PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); variable speed drives; HMI (Human Machine Interfaces); and instrumentation 3) A demonstrated ability to work independently or to lead a team to complete projects within required timeframes. Preferred Qualifications: 1) Strong knowledge and background in process improvement and equipment reliability including technology understanding and development with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in major capital projects. 2) Experience with the following manufacturing control systems: Allen Bradley PLCs; Rockwell Automation ControlLogix PLCs; variable speed motor drives; ControlLogix Kinetix 6000 Servo drives; Wonderware and/or Allen Bradley HMI; etc, 3) Up to 12 years of experience in a variety of plant and staff assignments, including maintenance and operations. 4) Experience working with external technical service suppliers. 5) Experience and expertise with Kimberly-Clark engineering procedures and processes.
